Turn Off Real-Time Protection Temporarily

Use this if you just want to download Megaman W.

1. Go to Windows Security > Virus & threat protection
2. Click Manage settings under Virus & threat protection settings
3. Turn Real-time protection to Off
4. Download and run the file
5. Immediately turn real-time protection back on

Add a Folder or File Exclusion in Windows Defender

Use this if you want to run Megaman W on a go-forward basis.

1. Open Windows Security:
   • Press Start, type Windows Security, and open it.
2. Go to "Virus & threat protection"
3. Scroll down and click "Manage settings" under Virus & threat protection settings
4. Scroll down again and click "Add or remove exclusions"
5. Click "+ Add an exclusion", then choose:
   • File – for a specific file
   • Folder – if the file is in a folder you want excluded
6. Browse and select the file or folder you want to allow.
